Goal: Create a centralized student athletic complex to serve varsity sports, student recreation and intramural sports
Improvements are underway on the northeast section of campus for student recreation. The Rinzler Student Athletic Complex will create a hub for Raider Athletics and Campus Recreation adjacent to the existing Alumni Soccer field. The project includes the construction of a new support building with restrooms, team rooms and concessions. The project also includes synthetic turf for the Varsity Soccer Field, synthetic turf for a new student recreation field, and lighting for the Varsity Women’s Softball Field. Improvements to the site include installation of crosswalks, sidewalks and site utilities connecting to adjacent facilities at the north end of campus The synthetic turf and softball lighting are complete..
