Dr. Bright received a Ph.D. in organizational behavior from Case Western Reserve University and his Master's of Organization Behavior and Master of Arts, International Area Studies from Brigham Young University. Dr. Bright teaches in the areas of leadership, organizational behavior, organizational change, and the role of business in society.
His research explores the practices and dimensions of organizational development and change, employee engagement, and the discovery and expression of values and virtues within organizations. His writing has appeared in such publications as the Academy of Management Executive, American Behavioral Scientist, and the Journal of Business Ethics. Dr. Bright’s consulting draws on the practice of Appreciative Inquiry, a methodology that focuses on elevating and extending existing strengths in organizations. He specializes in methods for describing and measuring organizational change. His research has been published in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management Spirituality and Religion, Public Performance and Management Review, Journal of Community Psychology, and American Behavioral Scientist.
