Clinical psychology is a field of great challenge, promise and fulfillment as it offers you the opportunity to make a difference in the well being of your community. What sets the Wright State University's School of Professional Psychology (SOPP) apart from many of the doctoral programs that you may be considering is its emphasis on practitioner training. Teh SOPP was among the first in the United States to develop this training model and grant the Psy.D. degree. We provide an educational and training experience within a challenging and respectful environment which values diversity among faculty, staff, students, clients, and community. We strive to take students to a new level of learning through student-to-student and faculty-to-student interactions, diverse clinical training opportunities, and working collaboratively with faculty in research and other scholarly endeavors.
We challenge our students to take control of their educational experience, to apply the knowledge gained from the theoretical and practical training, and to use these to develop fundamental professional and life skills.
