Dr. Rando has research interests in the study of mindfulness, college and university mental health, administration, and counseling center related topics.

Biographical Information

Dr. Rando is the director of Counseling and Wellness Services located in the WSU Student Union . Dr. Rando's most recent professional work experience has been as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling and Director of the Counseling Center at Youngstown State University. He has also served as a clinical director for a mental health center and a domestic violence shelter and as a consultant to businesses on sexual harassment issues. His areas of clinical focus are on the treatment of men's issues, physical aggression victimization/perpetration, sexual aggression victimization/perpetration,  and mindfulness based interventions. His areas of research focus the study of mindfulness, college and university mental health, administration, and counseling center related topics. He has taught courses in supervision, clinical diagnosis, health and wellness counseling, advanced clinical theories, sexual abuse counseling, counseling issues for male clients, counseling practicum, and diagnostic interviewing, supervision and statistics. Dr. Rando maintains membership  in the Association of University and College Counseling Center Directors, National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, and the American College Health Association.
