Research Topic(s) Summary:
Analysis: Operator algebras, signal processing
Applied/Computational Mathematics: Signal processing, quantum computation, theoretical neuroscience
Description of Research:
Major focus of my research has been the application of operator theory to three areas of research: a) Von Neumann Algebras, subfactors, and planar algebras, b) signal processing, frames, and Gabor type systems, c) quantum computing. In addition, I'm interested in the modeling of neurological systems (mostly audial and visual).  Check his personal page.
