ECE Application Process

At the Center for Worker Education, all students start out as Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts majors. In order to be admitted to the Undergraduate Early Childhood Education Program at CWE, you must meet the following requirements:

1. Pass the School of Education Admissions Test (SEAT).

2. Complete at least 45 credits, making sure to include the following core courses: Core Humanities 1 and 2, Core Social Science 1 and 2 (or the equivalent transfer courses); Sociology of Education, Early Childhood Education 1 and  Early Childhood Education 2.

3. Maintain a 2.8 grade point average

4. Schedule an ECE Program admission interview during the semester you meet all the requirements listed above. Schedule your interview at the 7th floor reception desk.

NOTE: Applicants will be notified of acceptance, conditional acceptance, or non-acceptance one month after the interview date.

You will be required to show your CCNY student ID card to take the test.

To register, sign up at the reception desk and ask for sample SEAT questions.
