In 2010, the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies at the City College Center for Worker Education (CWE) launched a new Master's Program in the Study of the Americas. Already with its first graduates the program is going strong, offering students a liberal arts degree, in step with the most cutting edge trends in interdisciplinary education.
The focus of the program is timely and joins an emerging field of study, that among its concerns, breaks apart notions about what the "Americas" are, how they are connected historically, politically, and culturally across national and transnational boundaries. We look at how certain areas continue to be disenfranchised, and the reasons for such marginalization.
Program admission is available for both fall and spring terms. Candidates apply via the CCNY Graduate Admissions Office. Please check their website for up-to-date application deadlines.
Current students, please go to the bottom of this page for forms. (We are currently updating our website and by September 2013, we expect to have multiple pages. Thanks for your patience as we do these updates.)
