Committee on Student Services

The Committee on Student Services is described below. Basically, this is where the student teaching applications are approved and where decisions regarding fieldwork are made.

An Excerpt taken from the School of Education By-Laws

Article II Section 2.e

Committee on Student Services: consisting of the Director, Office of Student Services, and Director, Office of Field Services, ex-officio and three members of the faculty. The Committee shall be concerned with the administration of admissions procedures for students entering teacher education programs and their progress through such programs. The Committee shall advise on policy making and implement policies, as ratified by the faculty, relating to student teaching, cooperating schools, and the various forms of field experiences provided for students in teacher education programs.
