Student Clubs
Francophone Club
Vive le Club Francophone! We’ve had a series of bi-weekly lunchtime Rendez-vous in which we’ve discussed subjects ranging from issues in French and American society, to questions of secularism and religion, to the ins and outs of college fashion today! All in French! Thanks to our successful bake sales we’ve been able to feed our weekly participants. During our movie night, we screened Les Egarés. We are also planning a visit to the New York Historical Society to view the exhibit French Founding Father: Lafayette’s Return to Washington’s America followed by le brunch. Our fête de fin de semestre was Dec. 6. For more information on this semester and next semester’s activities contact

Spanías
It is with great pleasure that we inform that the Spanish club—Spanías—has been revived. Last semester the club has focused not only on literary expression but also on presenting our beautiful Hispanic culture. Recently we attended a play of the great Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez, at the Repertorio Español, and we held a very special "tertulia," a poetry presentation event in which everyone who attended had a wonderful experience. On December 11 marked an end-of-semester Spanish cultural event with music, dance, poetry, Spanish food and more. The executives of the club hope that these activities will help us as Hispanics to not only understand our culture better, but also to open doors so that other people can know us. We hope to see your active participation in future activities. For more information contact:
