Business concentration students Anika Anand and Cara Eisenpress have won $3,000 scholarships from the New York Financial Writers Association. In an Associated Press article, Distinguished Professor Ruthann Robson commented on the constitutionality of laws banning sex offenders from using social networking websites. “If we think that the government can curtail sex offenders’ rights without any connection to the actual crime, then it could become a blanket prohibition against anyone who is accused of a crime, no matter what the crime is,” Robson said.

Lehman College
Lehman College invites the community to take part in a new program at the College that will bring New York State’s fresh seasonal produce to the campus for sale. The Summer Farm Share will begin at Lehman on June 12, providing fruits and vegetables at a reduced price. Farmers from Corbin Hill Farm will visit the Concert Hall Plaza, near Gate 10 on Paul Avenue, every Tuesday from 2 – 5 p.m. through mid-November to sell their most recent harvest.
