Center for Jewish Culture

History of the Center for Jewish Culture

The Center for Jewish Culture was initiated by Rabbi Bernard Glassman and Professor Robert Waxler in 1980 after several years operating under the name of the Jewish Student Service Center. For the last 25 years, the CJC had brought many speakers, films, musical programs, and exhibitions to the campus of SMU, now the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
