Room II-221

Embedded Systems & Computer Architecture Laboratory

Coordinator:

Howard Michel, Associate Professor

Size:

43' X 20'

Description:

The 6 stations in this room are outfitted with very basic, but dated, equipment. This room serves principally as a digital electronics lab, supporting the courses in Embedded System Design (ECE 263), Digital Design (ECE 368), and Microprocessors (ECE 461 and ECE 462). On occasion, this room is used as a backup to the Circuits and Electronics Laboratories in case of student "spill-over".

The recent addition of six PC-based Logic Analyzers has increased the caliber of measurements and experiments that the students can perform. The PCs are configured with additional software options than those in the other laboratories. The computers are upgraded by the ECE Department's internal recycling process.

Courses:

  • ECE 461(566) - Microprocessors I
  • ECE 263 - Embedded System Design, ECE 368 - Digital Design
  • ECE 462(567) - Microprocessors II
