Snow Procedures
In the event of snow, dial 508-999-8000 for voice message. Press “2” for special announcements. If there is no message, there is no cancellation. Facilities & Physical Plant personnel will call certain radio and TV stations to announce class cancellations, usually by 6:00am.
Cancellations will be announced on these radio and television channels:

If classes are cancelled in the middle of the day, the information will be communicated via UMD Announce. If you have a car on campus, you may be responsible for moving your car to a designated lot to assist with snow removal efforts.
If snow causes cancellation of a day or a portion of a day during final examinations, the missed day or portion of a day will be held on the next day after the end of final exams, using the same time blocks.
These procedures apply to day and evening classes.
