Business Professionals Roundtable
Our mission is to serve as a forum for College of Business students. We discuss issues of concern and offer resolutions to situations that may affect not only the students but also the student organizations. Our goal is to enhance and promote the reputation of Kent State University and the College of Business Administration within the community. We serve in a student advisory capacity to the Dean and Assistance Dean. We encourage the faculty and administration to offer their support of students in general and student organizations in particular.
The Business Professional’s Roundtable (BPR) is made up of at least one representative from each student organization in the College of Business Administration, as well as two at-large members from each grade level. At-large members shall continue to serve until graduation, unless determined otherwise. The at-large members are not required to pay dues to become a member of BPR. Student organizations pay an annual fee out of their student organization treasury.
Each organization must ensure that their designated representatives regularly attend the BPR meetings. Penalties for non-attendance will affect voting and bulletin board privileges. There will be no penalty if only one representative attends, but attendance must be regular by that particular student. Organizational representatives shall continue to serve as long as their respective student organization wants them to serve.
AT – LARGE MEMBERS:
At large members must attend all meetings. Members also need to participate in two hours of community service a semester. It is also mandatory to participate in at least one fundraising event a semester. Failure to complete any of the aforementioned may result in dismissal from BPR.
Meetings are held every other Tuesday at 8:00am in room 483 of the College of Business.
To learn more or become a member please contact the faculty advisor, Dean Elizabeth Sinclair or either of the officers below.
