Masters in Business Administration:
Many Kent State Ph.D graduates hold faculty positions at colleges and universities throughout the area and in many schools in the U.S. and overseas. Check out the "Careers" link at the left for more information.
The following provides a breakdown of the different phases and requirements of Kent State's Ph.D program:
Coursework -- Approximately 2 1/2 years
Dissertation - - 1 - 1 1/2 years (or more, depending on student's effort and topic)
Students are expected to have taken masters-level courses in statistics, economics, and functional areas of business before entry into the program. Students lacking such coursework may be required to take up to 6 additional courses. Students with MBA degrees from AACSB accredited institutions within the past 10 years can normally expect to meet this requirement.
Full-Time Enrollment Requirement
A student must register for and complete (by receiving a grade) a minimum of 9 hours in each semester in order to satisfy the full-time enrollment requirement.
