Our Pre-Professional advising programs give students the necessary academic background to apply to medical, osteopathic, veterinary medicine, dental and pharmacy schools. Students making this selection declare a major in a B.A. or B.S. degree program in the College of Arts & Sciences and complete all of the requirements for that degree. Students often choose to pursue the primary major in Chemistry or Biological Sciences. They also complete the courses listed in the appropriate Pre-Professional advising program.
Students interested in these advising programs must meet with their faculty advisors regularly in order to plan their academic programs and meet the admissions requirements for specific schools they are interested in attending.
Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Medicine Degree (B.S./M.D. Program)
The College of Arts & Sciences, in conjunction with NEOMED, also offers a B.S./M.D. Program for students interesting in practicing medicine. Only 35 students per year are selected for this program. For more information, please visit the Integrated Life Sciences (BS/MD) website.
