BSCI 20140 Cell Biology
BSCI 30030 Human Physiology
BSCI 30171 General Microbiology
BSCI 30518 Vertebrate Anatomy CHEM 10060, 10061 General Chemistry I and II
CHEM 10062, 10063 General Chemistry I and II Laboratory
CHEM 10960, 10961 Honors General Chemistry
CHEM 30475, 30476 Organic Chemistry Laboratory I and II
CHEM 30481, 30482 Organic Chemistry I and II MATH 12001 Algebra and Trigonometry

Remaining course work should be selected from the social sciences (see LER listings in anthropology, economics, geography, political science, psychology and sociology; most pharmacy schools also consider history to fall into this category) and from the humanities (see LER lists for English, philosophy and fine arts).  Note, there are different requirements for students interested in admission to the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Pharmacy (NEOUCOP) (see below).

Pre-Pharmacy Program for NEOUCOP

The Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Pharmacy (NEOUCOP) shares the campus and many of the facilities and services of the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) in Rootstown.  NEOUCOP offers a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree.  It has a consortial relationship with four Northeastern Ohio public universities: Kent State, Cleveland State, Youngstown State, and Akron Universities.  Admissions criteria include completion of a two- or three-year pre-pharmacy program at an accredited university as well as satisfactory scores on the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT).  Each of the consortial universities has up to 15 admissions slots for students with acceptable GPAs, PCAT scores, interview scores, etc.  For further information, go to the NEOUCOP website: or contact Dr. Soumitra Basu (room 203 Williams Hall, email, telephone 330-672-3906).
