College Facilities

The Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine is situated on a 27 acre campus which provides state-of-the-art facilities for quality education, research, and patient care. The newly designed, 137,000 square foot Georgian building includes three, 150-seat lecture halls, high-tech anatomy, histology/microbiology, surgical skills, podiatric medical skills, radiology, research, and computer labs, as well as indoor/outdoor recreation facilities. In addition, the Cleveland Foot and Ankle Institute and local satellite clinics, all operated by the college, provide a solid base for clinical education while providing excellent podiatric care to the community.

The college utilizes the following affiliated hospitals as part of its educational program: Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center, the Cleveland Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital, and Suburban Community Hospital. In addition to these institutions, 50 hospitals and more than 300 private practitioners nationwide provide externship training to KSUCPM students.

KSUCPM embraces new technologies in several ways to help ensure the students have access to the latest technology used in the podiatric field, and we also actively seek ways to improve the education process by using state-of-the art software and hardware. Packages like Sonic Foundy's Mediasite and FlashLine help us keep the student body informed about the classes, as well as the current events that are happening on campus. The entire KSUCPM campus is wireless for student and visitor convenience.

Academic material can be accessed on cell phones and tablets as well.

Classrooms & Labs
The KSUCPM facilities were designed to provide our students with the best resources to promote their academic success.  The hi-tech campus and facilities allow KSUCPM students more flexibility in their learning. The entire campus has wireless Internet access. All lectures and labs are recorded digitally, so students can watch and listen to lessons and demonstrations whether they are in a classroom, the dining hall, home or in a hospital working on their externships.
