These quality degree and certificate programs offer an alternative to campus based programs. They allow students more flexibility in both time and place. All Kent State degree and certificate programs are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and provide access to faculty with a high level of experience and excellence in online teaching and learning.  

As a reminder, Non-Ohio residents (out-of-state students), admitted to and enrolled in programs/courses that are approved as fully online degree and certificates programs at Kent State University, may be eligible for a reduced Non-Ohio resident fee.

  • What are the requirements for a student, who is not an Ohio resident, to be eligible for the reduced Non-Ohio resident fee?  To be eligible for the reduced Non-Ohio resident fee, a student must be admitted into an approved fully online degree or fully online certificate program and registered in the fully online courses associated with that approved fully online degree or certificate program.

  • What happens if the Non-Ohio resident student changes majors to a program that is not an approved fully online degree or certificate program? The student will no longer be eligible for the reduced Non-Ohio resident fee.

  • What happens if the Non-Ohio resident student enrolls in one or more face to face courses? The student will no longer be eligible for the reduced Non-Ohio resident fee.
