Exercise Science

We offer a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with the option to choose from two different areas of concentration:

1.              Exercise Physiology - View Requirements

2.              Exercise Specialist - View Requirements

3.              Pre-Physical/Occupational Therapy - View Requirements

Many students choose an Exercise Physiology concentration to prepare them for graduate school in that area or in other health care professions (i.e. Occupational Therapy, Podiatry or Medical School).

Students also pursue the program with an Exercise Specialist concentration to prepare them for work in the clinical setting ranging from a career in wellness to cardiac rehabilitation. The Exercise Specialist concentration is currently accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

The Pre-Physical/Occupational Therapy concentration provides students with extensive coursework to prepare for further graduate study in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy. Students will gain hands-on experience through a supervised internship and laboratory research.

All concentrations can be completed in four years.
