1. What classes will transfer?
a. Please visit KSU's Transfer Center to determine what coursework will directly transfer to Kent State University.

2. How long is the nursing program?
a. The program will take three years to complete once admitted to the program Note:This does NOT include time to complete the prerequisite coursework. The prerequisite coursework takes two semesters to complete.
3. Can I complete the program in less than three years?
a. No, since our courses are sequenced and cannot be taken out of order. There is no opportunity to complete in less than three years.
4. Do you offer classes during the evening, on weekends, or online?
a. Nursing coursework is offered during weekdays between 7:00am and 6:00pm. There are some online courses available.
5. Do you have a waitlist?
a. No, the College of Nursing has two application periods each year, if you are not admitted, you must re-apply to be considered for subsequent terms.
b. The application for the BSN program is competitive based on cumulative and prerequisite science GPA.
6. How will the College of Nursing determine my prerequisite science GPA?
a. Your prerequisite science GPA will be determined by using all grades attained in the following science courses:
I. Biological Structure and Function (BSCI 20020), Basic Microbiology (BSCI 20021), and Fundamentals of Chemistry (CHEM 10050).
II. We will average together ALL attempts in these courses, even if they were taken at another institution.
III. Modeling Algebra (MATH 11009) must be completed in order to be considered for admission into the nursing sequence.
