Meet Our Instructors

All of our private swim instructors are trained Lifeguards. They are all CPR-certified and boast years of swimming and teaching experience. Private and semi-private swimming lessons are offered for individuals at any skill level. Private lessons offer one-on-one instruction. Semi-private lessons are available for up to three people at similar skill levels. All lessons are 30-minutes in length.

Private Fee:
$20 ($90 for 5 Lessons)
Semi-Private Fee: $25 per group of up to three people at similar skill levels ($115 for 5 Lessons)

Favorite aspect of teaching swim lessons:

Watching a student grasp a concept after putting forth the work.  The “ah- ha” moment.

Interactions with students (swimmers). Seeing swimmers set goals and reach them.  Teaching valuable skills.

Alex

Year: Senior

Major: Integrated Studies

Swimming Accomplishments: 6 High School swim records and 4 times MVP

Years Teaching: 7

Teaching expertise (levels/ages): Preschool, Levels 4,5 and 6/ ages 5-18

Favorite aspects of teaching swim lessons:

Seeing a lesson improve their stroke and fluency in the water; as well as seeing the swimmers comfort level in the water rise.

To see growth and skill perfection in swimmers, and to spend time with and get to know kids.

Seeing the children grow and improve.  Not only do they gain the knowledge of swimming, but also the knowledge to work well with others.  It is great to see them make their own goals and successfully accomplish them!
