University Event Calendar
The UCM Webteam manages the online, collective event calendar. This calendar, which can be accessed from the Kent State University website home page, was developed at the request of visitors to the institutional website. We can establish an e-calendar user account for you or your department representative and provide training about posting information to the e-calendar.
Events entered into the event calendar:
- Appear on the calendar off the home page
- Appear in various RSS feeds spread across the site
- Appear in RSS feeds in FlashLine
Anyone may submit an event to be posted to the calendar, but it must meet certain guidelines before it will be approved to appear. In general, submissions for the calendar must be university-related events with a definitive time/place that people can attend. No announcements, holidays, closings or things of that nature, please.
After you submit an event, University Communications and Marketing will review your submission for content, spelling, grammar, etc before it goes live to the calendar, so be sure to submit your events well in advance. For complete guidelines to using the event calendar, visit the Event Calendar Guidelines.
If you are planning on using the calendar more than 10 times a year, please email University Communications and Marketing and we will be able to set up an account for you. We are limited to 50 accounts, so if someone else in your department already has an account, please ask them to submit your events or share the account. If an account goes unused for 6+ months, we will inactivate it. If you accidentally allow your account to lapse, you can contact University Communications and Marketing and we will reactivate it.
