The University Facilities Management administrative and support staff are responsible for the day-to-day operations of Kent State University's maintenance crews as well as meeting the requirements of the Kent State University's strategic goals. As a team, we are committed to maintaining the following objectives:
Our mission is to maintain and enhance the buildings and grounds on the Kent Campus of Kent State University to provide an attractive and functional University environment.
Our goal is to provide exceptional service to our students, faculty and staff. We strive to provide safe and well maintained interior and exterior spaces that are evident to our students, faculty and staff; and that will enhance and promote educational initiatives and strategic goals of our University.
What We Do
In collaboration with the Kent State University mission, we work to provide a comfortable, clean, and safe academic environment for students, faculty, and staff to disseminate knowledge, promote morality, elicit objective thinking, and foster learning.
What We Provide
The department of University Facilities Management provides comprehensive maintenance to 139 academic, athletic, administrative, and residence hall buildings on a 24 hour, seven day a week schedule. Aside from the numerous buildings and infrastructure, we also maintain 986 contiguous acres of rolling hills, woods, and manicured greens.
