Pamela Farer-Singleton, Ph.D.
Dr. Farer-Singleton has been the Chief University Psychologist at UHS for the past 17 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College and her master's and doctoral degrees in psychology from Kent State University. She completed two American Psychological Association-approved internships at the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Fallsview Psychiatric Hospital. Her professional specialties include anxiety and depression, couples/relationship/family therapy, academic performance issues and parenting issues. At KSU, Dr. Farer-Singleton has also served as a part-time Assistant Professor, providing clinical supervision for the Department of Psychology's graduate students
Carrie Berta, Psy.D.
Dr. Berta joined University Psychological Services in 2010. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Boston University and obtained a doctorate in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Berta completed an American Psychological Association-approved internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University's Counseling and Psychological Services. Her professional specialties include relationship concerns, LGBTQ issues, identity development and life transitions
Kirsten DeLambo, Ph.D.
Dr. DeLambo is a licensed psychologist who specializes in trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and women's issues (such as sexual assault, domestic violence, self-esteem and destructive behaviors). She received an undergraduate degree from the College of Wooster and her doctorate from Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. She currently serves in the Ohio National Guard as a psychologist and assists soldiers pre- and post-deployment. Dr. DeLambo also conducts trainings for mental health counselors on the topic of PTSD treatment.
Douglas Muccio, Ph.D.
Dr. Muccio joined University Psychological Services in 2008 as a counseling psychologist and sport psychologist. He received his master's degree in sport psychology from Kent State University and his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Tennessee.
John S. Schell, Ph.D.
Dr. Schell is the Senior Psychologist at UHS and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology where he teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses.He completed his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and received his master's and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology form Kent State University. He did an internship at Yale University's School of Medicine/Yale-New Haven Hospital and a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University's Department of University Health.Dr. Schell's clinical specialties include depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, and relationship therapy.
Jayita Datta, Psy.D.
Dr. Datta joined University Psychological Services in 2010. She received bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from the University of Delhi, India. Dr. Datta holds a Doctorate in Psychology from Wright State University's School of Professional Psychology. Her Post-Doctoral Fellowship was completed at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst's Counseling and Assessment Services. Dr. Datta is fluent in 3 languages (English, Hindi and Bengali). Her areas of specialty are anger, anxiety, mood, academic stress, ADHD/LD, relationship/couples/family therapy, identity development, transitions issues, acculturation, and cultural identity.
