East Campus Chilled Water Plant New Chiller
This project, designed by Scheeser Buckley Mayfield, adds a new chiller and cooling tower to the existing East Campus Chilled Water Plant. As more residence halls have been upgraded to have air conditioning, the demands on the existing infrastructure have increased. This new equipment would allow for system growth and redundancy while providing energy savings and peak performance. Construction Documents are being completed and this project should begin advertising for bidding in late March. Construction will proceed in phases so as to not interrupt any chilled water service to the residence halls. This General Contracting project is being managed via OAKS-CI.

Salem Classroom Building Partial Roof Replacement, Phase 2
During phase 2 of this project, Kent State University at Salem four large areas of the Classroom Building’s roof will be removed and replaced with a new, single-ply, 20-year warrantied membrane system. This phase of the project was also designed in-house by the Office of the University Architect. Phase 2 roofing work is scheduled to be advertised for bidding in March and completed by this fall. This Capitally-funded, General Contracting project is being managed via OAKS-CI.

Tuscarawas Founders Hall Roof Replacement
Kent State University at Tuscarawas will be replacing the roof at the Classroom Building (Founders Hall) with a new, single-ply, 20-year warrantied membrane system. The project was designed in-house by the Office of the University Architect. Roofing work is scheduled to be advertised for bidding in March and completed by this fall. This General Contracting project is being managed via OAKS-CI.

Tuscarawas University Hall and Attention Center Demolition
Abatement and demolition of Kent State University at Tuscarawas' University Hall and the Attention Center are under consideration by the Tuscarawas County University District Board. Asbestos abatement analyses were conducted and Construction Documents have been prepared for the removal of both buildings. A new pole barn storage building will potentially be constructed in the existing maintenance complex to replace the lost storage that is currently located within University Hall. This General Contracting project is being managed via OAKS-CI.
