Students who major in nutrition may qualify for some of the many of the scholarships offered by Mansfield University. Students should contact the financial aid offices at Mansfield University and examine the list of scholarships available at Mansfield University.
There are four scholarships specifically for Nutrition and Dietetics students at Mansfield University. These Scholarships are:
The Maryon Farrer Powell Scholarship
This scholarship is presented to a student who is majoring in dietetics. The recipient of this scholarship can be either an entering or currently enrolled student who demonstrates strong academic ability and has financial need. This is an $850.00 non-renewable award.
The Linda Ballard Hulslander scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an entering freshman nutrition and dietetics student who is in the upper 2/5 of their high school graduating class and has a 1000 or greater on the SAT exam. The Hulslander scholarship is renewable if the recipient maintains at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Eileen Finn Kuritz Dietetics & Nutrition Award
A $1000 scholarship in honor of Eileen Kuritz. The recipient must be an entering dietetics or nutrition major with an SAT score of at least 1050 and must be in the top 2/5 of their graduating class.
The Arthur and Martha Sharpe Scholarship
This scholarship is presented to a nutrition and dietetics major. Preference is given to a student from Wyoming or Clinton County.
Nutrition and Dietetics students in their junior year of study may be eligible for additional scholarships available from the Central Pennsylvania Dietetic Association and the American Dietetic Association.
