Dr. Brian W. Bridgeforth, Program Director

Dr. Brian W. Bridgeforth has over 25 years of experience in team leadership, consulting, operations, and 18 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering education and training on a variety of management topics through a variety of delivery methods. As an organizational development and change consultant, he has contributed to the growth and development of organizations and leaders, as well guiding the efforts of aspiring entrepreneurs. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Management Decision Sciences specializing in Leadership & Organizational Change with Walden University. His research interests include the nature and practice of leadership and the application of Chaos Theory to social and organizational contexts.

Dr. Dennis Murray

Dr. Dennis Murray is Professor of Psychology at Mansfield University where he’s taught for over 30 years. He currently serves as chairperson of the Department of Psychology. He received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rochester, where he developed his identity as a “Community Psychologist.” He has taught and published on a wide range of topics relating to life and mental health issues in small and rural communities. He has been very active in community organizations and in organizational governance and leadership. He has been a champion of leadership studies at Mansfield University and he currently serves as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Laurel Health System.

Dr. Murray lives in Mansfield with his wife Linda.

Dr. Lisa Feil

Hi, my name is Dr. Lisa Feil. My education includes a B.A. in psychology from MU, a M.Ed. and Ed.S. in School Psychology from Indiana State University and a Psy.D. in School Psychology from Alfred University. I also hold a PA and National Certificate in School Psychology, a Supervisor of Pupil Personnel Certificate from Lehigh University and a Letter of Eligibility from Edinboro University. I was employed with the Wellsboro Area School District for the past 15 years as a School Psychologist and Supervisor of Special Education. I recently resigned that position to pursue other opportunities. I currently work at Harbor Counseling in Wellsboro and I am a consultant for Intermediate Unit #17. I have also taught Educational Leadership at Edinboro for the past 3 years part-time. Personally, I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart for the past 18 years and we have four wonderful children (Mikayla - 13, Abby & Grace (identical twins) - 11 and Watson - 5). I enjoy snow skiing, reading, scrapbooking, biking and camping.

Dr. Lee Wright

Lee Wright earned his PhD in Communication from the University of Denver and has worked in the Department of Communication at Mansfield University since 1990. He is past chairperson of the department having served in that role for 12 years. More recently he has taken on the role of Director of the Honors Program at Mansfield. His professional interests include the study of organizational communication, persuasion, and communication law. Previously he worked in management for Shop Rite Corporation and taught retail sales courses for a private trade school. Currently he teaches Leadership Communication for the Masters in Organizational Leadership. In his spare time Dr. Wright is a beekeeper and makes honey related products.

Dr. Dirk E. Stevens, Ph.D.

Dr. Stevens has over 27 years of experience in the medical products industry. He was most recently the Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Compliance at a $2.4 Billion pharmaceutical and device company. He has worked in both manufacturing and quality at companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Baxter Healthcare, Carrier, and Covidien (formerly Tyco Healthcare). He is also the owner of a small consulting firm, where he provides regulatory expertise to the medical products industry. His experiences include teaching in the online environment for over 7 years, at 4 different schools. He has taught myriad courses, including Decision Making, Introduction to Marketing, Management Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, Leadership and Teams, Business Ethics, and several other courses in business at the Bachelor's and Master's levels. He has authored several technical documents for pharmaceutical periodicals. Dr. Stevens has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Knowledge and Learning Management from Walden University.

Mr. Ed Foote

Mr. Foote currently operates and is continually developing a small U-pick berry farm where he lives in Lindley, NY and leads the Mansfield University Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (MCEL) which he started in 2009. Previous experience has been concentrated in economic development and entrepreneurship, with several small businesses along the way including serving as Executive Director, Regional Energy Development Corporation, Corning NY (501(c)(3); Head of the Yates County Department of Planning and Economic Development in which he served as Executive Director of the Yates County Industrial Development Agency and the Yates County Business Incubator, and developed the Keuka Business Park; and Executive Director (founding director), Alfred Technology Resources, a 501(c)(3) corporation that developed and ran 2 high technology Ceramics Corridor Innovation Centers. Mr. Foote earned his MBA, with concentrations in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and New Ventures Analysis, at the University of Tennessee and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Union College.
