Cowley finished last season with a record of 17-15 overall and 13-13 in the Jayhawk East. Cowley College Visual and Performing Arts Department to perform Mary Poppins

Link to the Box Office While at Disneyworld with Cowley College theatre students for acting and technical workshops, John Rohr, Cowley’s technical director of theatre, had a spark of inspiration on what to perform for Cowley’s fall musical. Theatre director Cara Kem fought the idea at first since they had already decided to go another route, but after hearing Rohr’s ideas, she could not deny that Mary Poppins was their show.

To see the incredible ideas that inspired the entire show, make plans to see Mary Poppins November 9-11 in the Robert Brown Theatre. Shows each night are at 7:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday. Tickets can be purchased online at www.cowley.edu/boxoffice or by calling 620-441-5570. If online tickets are sold out individuals can call the box office to see if there might still be seats available. The cost for tickets is $10 for adults and $8 for students and Blue Star Families.

Men's cross country team runs well, places second in El Dorado

Men’s cross country team runs well, places second in El Dorado Led by three of the top nine-runners at the Ollie Isom Invite Monday in El Dorado, KS, the Cowley College men’s cross country team placed second out of six teams. Sophomore Livan Aguilar was Cowley's top finisher, placing fifth with a time of 26:23.1 in the five-mile race. Fellow sophomores Miguel Ibarra (26:47.2) and Andres Ruiz (26:55.1) also ran well and placed seventh and ninth, respectively. read more

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation seeks outstanding community college students with financial need for its Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.
