Smith_Whitney_low On behalf of the Office of Communications, I want to welcome you to the 2013-2014 academic year and introduce you to the semester’s first issue of FlaLaw Online, UF Law’s weekly digital newsletter.

In your email each week during the fall and spring semesters, you’ll receive this newsletter, filled with the latest campus news and activities, job and volunteer opportunities, upcoming events, faculty scholarship and media appearances, as well as profiles of our accomplished students, faculty, staff and alumni. We’re excited to kick off another eventful academic year at UF Law and look forward to sharing with you the many wonderful opportunities and events happening right here on campus.

We depend on your help to keep the UF Law community informed. Let us know about events sponsored by your group so we get the news out ahead of time and, in some cases, report and photograph them as they happen.

I also invite you to like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter and Instagram to connect with us and members of the UF Law community on campus and around the world.

This fall, we are collecting photos to appear in a “photo of the week” section of FlaLaw. Email your funny, unusual or standard photo submissions to Make sure to check FlaLaw each week to see if your photo appears. We also seek photos from Introduction to Law School and the Profession Community Service Day, and would love to see your service photos. Send any submissions to

As always, if you have any story ideas or suggestions to make FlaLaw more beneficial to you and the UF Law community, contact me at or 352-273-0652.

I look forward to sharing your stories and successes.

Go Gators!

This is not a separate text-only site, it's a dynamic view that uses unique technology from Usablenet to give assistive users better, more accessible access to the same content and features as all users that use the graphic view of the site.
