For the second time in three years, Hispanic Business Magazine, a nationally distributed publication, ranks the University of Florida Levin College of Law among its “Top 10 Law Schools for Hispanic Students.”
Rankings announced in the March issue of the publication rates UF number three, up from fourth where it was ranked in the 2000 report. Also included in the list are two other Florida schools, both private * University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University * plus the universities of Texas, New Mexico, Southern California, Southwestern, St. Mary’s, Illinois and Colorado.
According to magazine officials, editors took into consideration * in addition to academic and faculty stature * retention rate, mentoring programs, student support organizations, percentage of full-time Hispanic faculty and students, and overall law school reputation.
