Deep South Network

The Deep South CME Network was founded in 2003 in a collaboration between the UAB Division of CME and the Alabama Quality Assurance Foundation to bring evidence-based educational experiences on the care of complex patients to southeastern physicians and nurse practitioners. Since that time, the UAB Division of CME has offered monthly online educational experiences for CME credit based on the needs of its members.   • Huntington's Disease CME" Advances in the Management of Huntington's Disease", a new CME series developed by Dr. Victor Sung of UAB in partnership with the Huntington's Disease Society of America and Medscape, is now online. The three activities address the management of motor symptoms, role of a multidisciplinary team and improvement of quality of life (QOL).
  • Clinical Informatics CurriculumUAB CME and the UAB School of Health Professions have partnered to develop a clinical informatics curriculum focused on aspects key to providing better individual care to the 21st century patient.
